The House in Wicker Park converts a 3-flat, former church residence to a single-family home. A new interior double-height space celebrates the structure’s historic material character while introducing open living and views to the backyard landscape. The finely crafted bones of the original residence offer a promising backdrop for the open central space for living, currently under construction.
